The Camon CX, which is equipped with a 16 megapixels front camera and a 16 megapixels back camera, was promoted as the ultimate selfie phone at the event which was attended by journalists, phone dealers, and mobile telephony enthusiasts. The chief financial officer (CFO) of MTN Ghana, Asher Khan, said the company was enthusiastic about marketing the Camon CX in its shops across the country. Praising the quality of Tecno phones, Khan expressed confidence that the phone would beat sales expectations like its predecessor, the Camon C9 did.
The managing director of Tecno Ghana, Maxwell Techie, praised the impact his company has made since it entered the Ghanaian mobile telephony market in 2007. He said the Camon CX would continue the company's tradition of providing efficient but affordable smartphones to Ghanaians. He praised Tecno's partnership with MTN, which he said was growing stronger each year. Techie said as part of the partnership with MTN, people who buy the Camon CX from MTN will get 1 GB of free data every month for six months.
